Lot 1366 Lilyan Tashman

ALS signed “Lily,” four pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.5 x 7.25, no date. Tashman writes to George Cukor, “Georgie Baby,” in part: “So much has happened to me in the past four months...New York of course is divine—Hollywood I’m afraid is going to be a little hard to take except for the few people I’m dying to see...Julie and Arthur have been in Warrenton and Francis is as divine as ever. Lola Hayward has pneumonia and Tashman has such a grand success that you would be proud...went to the theatre last night with your old pal Eddie Knopf.” In very good condition, with a central horizontal and vertical fold, one passing through the first letter of the signature, light surface creasing, a few trivial spots of soiling, and a couple of light pencil notations.
