Lot 50149 New Haven Grays Civil War Military Gold Antique Button
This is a military coat button from the New Haven Grays, dating from the Civil War period. The Grays formed from members of the New Haven Militia, and they participated in the first major conflict of the Civil War, the Battle of Bull Run. The button is gilt, with original coat backing. The back is marked "EXTRA QUALITY." It is approximately 7/8 inch in diameter. It is in very good condition.
