Lot of 2 different proof vignettes and the model photograph for the gushing oil well used in the middle of the vignette. 5.75 x 8 inch photograph of a gushing oil well has been touched up with watercolors for use as the central vignette flanked by 2 allegorical women. Notation ÒEngraved by Osborn & Savage, Nov. 1912Ó on top. Also included is the original well known vignette of a little girl holding 2 torches flanked by 2 allegorical women and the final version with the gushing oil well replacing the little girl. Approval signatures on the altered proof vignette and archival date stamps. Rare proof vignette production file. ABNC. All are VF to XF condition.
