All officially impressed.John Edward Cribb served on the Western Front with the Wiltshire Regiment from December 1914 and was commissioned to Second Lieutenant only to be later reverted to Private. His service ended with the 14th (London Scottish) Battalion London Regiment when he was wounded on 8 October 1918 after the capture of Sauchy-Cauchy. He was finally discharged due to his wounds in 1919. Later in life he married a woman from Cork and moved to Paris where he worked for the Guaranty Trust Company of New York.
