ARAB-BYZANTINE: Anonymous, ca. 680s, AE fals (4.18g), NM, ND, A-3523A, Foss-31, cf. Walker-ASK.6, muhammad left of standing emperor, ba'd ("good") below the M on the reverse, Very Fine, RRR. Foss suggests that they should have been minted in Palestine, east or west of the Jordan River. He suggest a much earlier date, ca. 647-658, which may well be possible.
