UMAYYAD: al-Walid I, 705-715, AR dirham (2.91g), Ramhurmuz, AH92, A-128, Klat-385a, "2" of date written thanatayn without initial alif, Extremely Fine, R, ex. Robert Pelletreau collection. Same obverse die as the specimen illustrated by Klat. An inferior example of Klat-385a, only in f-vf condition, sold at the Islamic Coin Auction 18, lot 124, July 2011, for the equivalent of $1954 (plus buyer's fee, which is now 21.6% including the 8% VAT).
