UMAYYAD: Sulayman, 715-717, AR dirham (2.91g), Sijistan, AH98, A-131, Klat-440, superb strike, beautifully centered, choice Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated, R, ex. Robert Pelletreau collection. Despite the coarse calligraphy of the local engraved, every word is correctly spelled. The reverse die was already slightly worn and starting to break up when this piece was struck.
