Starr percussion SRC, .54 cal., 21” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, #2886. This gun is in overall good condition showing a dark patina on metal surfaces with some old cleaning at themuzzle; scattered pin prick pitting and spots of erosion, very good bore, good action, lock plate markings very good; wood stocks are overall good with fore end retaining spring absent and an old crack to the bottomtoe of the butt stock; correct iron butt plate present; less than 21,000 of these carbines were produced between 1862 and 1865.
