Remington rolling block, .22 LR cal. single shot pistol, marketed as "Plinker", 8" round barrel, with reverse address showing Remington Arms Co. Ilion NY in script, serial #557. The pistol shows standard V notchiron rear sight and large German silver blade front sight. The barrel shows 30-50% blue drifting to brown with some scattered light to moderate pitting and erosion. The frame shows 40-60% case hardening drifting togray-brown with some minor erosion and pinprick pitting. The stocks have been lightly cleaned with steel wool but are at least good. The markings are sharp, the edges are crisp, the bore is only fair; thesmall parts and trigger show considerable finish. Also known as the Model 1887 Target. Est.: $1,000-$2,000
