Large bore percussion belt pistol signed "Nock London", circa 1850s-60s in good original condition. The pistol measures 11" overall with 6" octagon barrel of approximately .65 cal. smooth bore, fullstocked to the muzzle, measuring nearly 1-1/8" across the flats of the muzzle. The metal surfaces show a light gray to brown patina finish and just normal aging. The varnished wood stocks are good to very goodwith just some minor cracks, wear to the checkering and about 60-70% varnish. The trigger guard shows some pitting from moisture; the markings are good, the edges are good, the breech shows 2 silver bands. A wooden ramrod of a later date is included. Nock was a high quality London maker who was known for all types of high quality arms including volley guns and blunderbusses. Est.: $1,250-$2,500
