Springfield Model 1847, .69 cal. Musketoon Naval Model with its distinguishable front band, refer Fladerman, 9A-300. The gun remains in original good to very good condition showing a light gray patina finish, scattered erosion and pinprick pitting which is all minor; good sharp markings and eagle fully defined at center of lock plate. The stock is very good with 75% visible cartouche, original trumpet shaped ramrod,generally very good overall; a couple small losses along ramrod channel and one chip and loss at top edge of forend between the bands. A 7.5 to 8 on 1 to 10 scale and rarely encountered. Est.: $3,000-$6,000
