Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle 3rd Model, .38-40 cal., 24" round barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, #697461B. The barrel and magazine tube show 30-60% original blue with some pitting and erosion, the typeassociated with blood; the frame shows traces of original blue and some pitting on left front of a similar nature to the barrel. The stocks are good to very good with considerable varnish to the butt stock, evenwear to the forend, some gouges and scratches; the markings are good, the action is tight, the bore is bright and near excellent, the loading gate shows most of the original blue, the sights are in the correct dove tails.
