Original and rare magazine for Colt Franklin Model military rifle, 1 of only 50 produced; among the rarest of all Colt firearms, this bolt action rifle was top fed through a detachable magazine, refer "The Book of ColtFirearms", by Sutherland and Wilson, page 480 and 481, where just such a rifle is pictured, and the patent was granted October 28, 1884. The only thing rarer than this magazine is a man who needs one. Conditionis good, with an uncleaned patina. Est.: $100-$1,000.
