Jenks "Mule ear" percussion Naval issue carbine by N. P. Ames, dated 1845, .52 cal. rifled, brass mounted with all features as standard on this model. The metal surfaces show some chemical coloring with some minorpitting and erosion, but good markings. The stocks show extensive repairs with a slight outline of cartouche, and the stocks are undersized from sanding slightly. There is some replacement of wood and was badly broken at wrist.
