Triplett & Scott swivel breech loading single shot rifle, .50 cal., 30” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, breech marked Kentucky on left side, #504. This gun is in overall very good + conditionshowing considerable muted blue finish on the barrel and breech assembly with some scattered spots of erosion including some areas of pin prick pitting on the right side of the breech; frame shows strong traces oforiginal case colors; bore is overall good +, action is crisp, markings are good and the wood stocks are overall very good; interestingly, there is not only a sling swivel in its usual position at the bottom of the butt plate, but also one at the top of the butt plate and appears original and period as it matches the patina of the other swivel.
