Authentic carved cottonwood kachina figure entitled marked on bottom “Hoyesva, P.H. Shelton Jr. Box 4. Oraibi, AZ” The bottom edge of the dancer’s garment is dated 1958. The dancer measures approx. 19” and shows a1958 First Prize ribbon. With glass display case. There is a presentation to “My Little Friends” on the base which were Jimmy Johnson and his young wife. An early and incredibly nice kahina with some minor aging. One of the best we have ever seen in 40 years of selling Indian artifacts. Provenance: Johnson Collection, Idyllwild, CA.
