Remington revolving percussion rifle, .36 cal., 24” octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, deluxe checkered wood stock, silver plated brass trigger guard and crescent butt plate, #323. Less than 1,000 of these beautiful revolving rifles were produced between 1866 and 1879 and this one is in overall very good condition showing traces of original blue in protected areas of the barrel with balance gone to a brownpatina, traces of case colors on the frame, rammer and hammer, crisp action, strong markings, dark bore, very good + deluxe wood stock with fine checkering and graining, considerable silver wash remaining on buttplate and traces on the trigger guard.
