Pair of back action percussion officer's pistols signed Mortimer, London, 13-1/2" overall, 7-3/4" heavy octagon barrels with thick walls. Approx. .52 caliber smoothbore with swivel ramrods. The metal surfaces havebeen lightly cleaned and show a grey patina with some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. One stock shows a break and repair near the front escutcheon, the other stock is very good. The pair showgood checkering, normal use, and are good overall other than the mentioned damage which occurred 2" from the end of the forend on one pistol. Est: $2,000 - $3,000
