Very early Colt Model 1911 Commercial .45 ACP cal., high polish blue finish, serial #C515 with factory letter confirming features; caliber, grips not listed, shipped to John Pritzlaff Hardware Company, Milwaukee,Wisconsin September 5, 1912, 5 guns in shipment. This Colt remains in very good+ to near fine original condition showing 85-95% bright original blue, some losses at the edges and muzzle, minor scratches, minorcarry and some use. The pistol shows early patent dates, a number of small size located far forward on left side, early proofs, early calibre marking; Government Model on right front of slide, rounded rear sight, fire blue small parts, and early diamond checkered wood grips. Also, early lanyard loop magazine; very good bore, crisp overall, shows P in triangle proof front of trigger guard, small k beneath trigger.
