Colt Service Model Ace .22 cal. LR semi-automatic pistol, U.S. Property marked, serial #567588. Note: The serial number is marked in electric pencil to match the frame on the inside of the slide bottom. This Aceshows RA markings beneath the serial number, and cross cannon at rear of upper right side of frame. This Ace was purchased from a Camp Perry competitor who shot on the U.S.M.C. Pistol Team by our consigner in the 1950s.It is likely the pistol was custom built as it now appears as the cannon marking was generally not placed on arsenal rebuilds. The condition is very good+ to near fine with some lightening at the edges, some darkening of some patina to the finish; excellent grips, good markings, good overall, fine bore, Colt marked clip.
