Scarce Remington New Model Navy percussion revolver, anchor marked on top of barrel at breech, .36 cal., 7-1/2” octagon barrel, dark patina, wood grips, #27953. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showingan uncleaned heavy dark patina over scattered areas of erosion and some general spots of pitting; good action, dark bore, good markings, grips show wear and scattered old mars and scratches from carry and storage aswell as some knackering of the butt area. Limited to 4,300 purchased by the U.S. Navy during the Civil War and seldom offered for sale at auction in any condition. Est.: $2,500-$5,000.
