High quality Caucasian Kenjal dagger with nielo silver and gold gilt decoration, with horn grip, circa 19th century. The dagger measures approximately 21-1/2" with 15" plain steel blade, showing light etching in thegrooves to simulate Damascus. The blade is in near fine condition, showing most of its polish. The silver mounts and leather scabbard are very good+ to near fine; there is a signature on the rear of throat at topof scabbard. The quality of the silver and nielo work is very good.
