Hopkins & Allen XL No. 4 .38 cal. rimfire revolver, 2" octagon barrel nickel plated, ivory grips, #16A on bottom of barrel with interesting hand engraved border around model marking on top of frame. The revolver shows a period inscription on backstrap D.H. Hall". The revolver retains 75-85% original nickel, some minor spotting, drifting and light cleaning long ago. The ivory grips are very good with normal aging, the markingsgood, action good, interior good. Obviously, the engraver put a small amount of engraving around the model when the inscription was engraved. An interesting spur trigger. Est.: $600-$1,200
