Deluxe Marlin-Ballard single shot target rifle, .32-40 cal., 28” half round/half octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, checkered wood fore stock and semi-pistol grip butt stock with Schutzenbutt plate, #20032. This gun is in overall very good to almost fine condition showing considerable original blue on the octagonal part of the barrel with the round portion gone to a plum brown patina; approx. 65%original case colors on the receiver; very good to fine bore, crisp action, very good markings, adjustable vernier tang sight, buckhorn style rear sight and adjustable hooded front sight; wood is overall fine with considerable muted nickel finish on the brass butt plate; from an old collection.
