Winchester Model 1876 special order saddle ring carbine, .45-75 cal., 22" round barrel, set trigger, #61937. The rifle shows a brown patina finish with traces of blue mixed in, some scattered light to moderate erosion andminor pitting, some storage scratches and mars near muzzle; markings on barrel are good, a few scratches to the metal, the forend shows 2 compression cracks that extend from the rear band to the frame. Butt stock is undersized and lightly refinished long ago. The original sights small parts are retained, the action is good but a little loose, the bore is worn and only fair. Any special order feature on a carbine is rareand few set triggers are known. Est.: $1,500-$3,000 Confirmed by factory letter.
