Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle 3rd Model, .38-40 cal., 24" round barrel, full magazine, crescent butt, traces of original blue finish, #217023B. The rifle shows faint traces of blue in protected areas, scattered light to moderate erosion and surface pitting; some slightly heavier pitting at the forward left side of muzzle extending 4" rearward. The markings are good, the edges fairly crisp, the stocks are good to verygood with some minor dings and scratches from normal wear. The sights are in their correct positions, the loading gate shows 20% original blue, the action is good, the bore is fair to good with some use. A goodoriginal '73 with all correct parts.
