Winchester Model 1894 special order Takedown rifle, 26" barrel, half magazine, blued finish, steel shotgun butt plate, serial #880641. The rifle shows an expert factory quality refinish. The stocks are fine, justa couple of minor handling marks; the markings are sharp and crisp, the bore excellent, the interior polished correctly and the arm has seen almost no use. '94s were known to drift and flake on the framesand many were sent back by dealers to Winchester when the guns were like new. The interior condition and wood of this '94 would indicate that this may be the case. A well known dealer in Winchesters blessed this '94as mint; however, we disagree. Est.: $2,500-$5,000
