This gun is in overall good to verygood condition showing a plum brown patina to barrel assembly and considerable original nickel finish to frame, lever, fore end cap and butt plate with losses at high points and evidence of old cleaning to the nickel;action is good, markings are good; fair bore; rear sight base correct with period replaced two-stage insert; front sling swivel missing; rear sling base present; fore end shows great pommel wear to the wood at theframe down to the loading tube as well as pommel wear to the front lower end of the receiver; butt stock is overall good to very good; a classic ’66 with great appearance and wear that implies many miles of travelacross the owner’s saddle.
