Remington rolling block .50-70 cal. New York State type rifle with high hammer, showing good cartouches. The metal surfaces show a brown patina finish, some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting; stocks are good to very good showing a SNY cartouche at right wrist that is fully visible, a fancy 4 letter cartouche at center of left butt stock, and a 3 letter cartouche RFB on left wrist. The rifle shows B and Sinspector marks, a 15 on comb, and the number 8 D 1 on butt plate. The action is good, the bore is very good+, still bright; the rifle is completely uncleaned and has an out-of-the-attic look. Est.: $400-$800
