Winchester Model 1892, .25-20 cal., takedown rifle, 20" barrel, half magazine, rifle butt, old custom engraving, serial #912491. The rifle shows 20-40% silver finish that is drifted to patina, some darkening and erosion and pinprick pitting where the silver has lifted. The engraving is nicely accomplished and appears to be of the pre-war era, and the engraver was not copying anyone else's work as it is a unique style. The action isgood, the bore is good, the stocks have been lightly refinished and are at least good. Est.: $2,500-$5,000
