Colt Model 1872 Open top .22 cal. old model revolver, 7-shot, period engraved, nickel plated, varnished wood grips, serial #3234. The pistol retains 75-85% original nickel with some slight drifting on the frame andshowing brass with patina in the areas where the nickel has drifted. The hammer and trigger show considerable original finish, the varnished wood grips are good with approximately 50% varnish, there is some rust on the screw and in the area of the right escutcheon, and some blemishes on the right side of the grip. Good markings, good to very good overall, needs slight TLC on right grip. Est.: $700-$1,400
