Interesting U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 bolt-action military rifle with “U.S.S. SPERRY” (USN) stamped on right side of butt stock, .30-06 cal., 24” barrel marked “SA” with flaming bomb and dated 10-20 with “A”under the date, military finish, top of bolt stamped “N.S.”, front sight cover, leather military sling, wood stock, #1205680. This gun is in overall very good to fine condition showing the majority of military finish,sharp markings, very good + bore, crisp action, overall very good sling; wood stock is overall very good + with circle P proof and “SA SPG” and “WJS” inspector cartouches on left side of stock above trigger; metalcleaning tube in butt trap; top of butt plate is stamped “II 55”, possibly a rack mark when assigned to the Sperry.
