Model 1842 U. S. Martial with Palmetto Armory markings, rear lock marked "Columbia SC 1852, VP" and Palmetto proofs on left side of barrel, also stamped "Wm Glaze & Co". The lock is pitted right at the area of themarking and we cannot examine enough of the Palmetto tree to tell whether it is original or not. The metal surfaces show light cleaning long ago, pitting and erosion; stocks are good, action good, generally goodoverall. Refer Fladerman, 6a-044. Sold as is with probable spurious markings.
