^Lot 253 1835 N-4 R4+ Head of 1834 VG7

1835 N-4 R4+ Head of 1834 VG7. Sharpness VG10 but covered with extremely faint roughness, strongest at RICA where there are a few microscopic pits. No verdigris, and the only notable mark is a small punch just left of the hole in the ear. Slightly glossy chocolate and steel mixed with some darker olive brown tones on the reverse. Very rare late die state with a strong cud break at NITED. Holmes #1910.
