Rare bank check, 6.25 x 2.75, filled out in another hand and signed by Fairbanks, Sr, payable to Cartier Ltd. for £1.4.0, November 10, 1937. A central vertical fold, bank stamps to body, a red cancellation through small portion of signature, and a bit of light haloing to signature, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the November 1937 bank statement from Guaranty Trust Company of New York showing the check was processed on November 15, 1937. The first Fairbanks check we have offered.
