Film producer (1909–1958) and third husband of Elizabeth Taylor who died in a plane crash near Grants, New Mexico. TLS signed “Mike,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, September 11, 1945. Letter to Eddie Mannix. In full: “I don’t know whether or not you are to get bows, but today by carrier pigeon arrived the Goldwyn check. An accompanying note was conspicuous by its absence. Methinks he’s got writer’s cramp from signing my checks. Enclosed is your share of the swag.” In fine condition, with a staple hole to top left.
