DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, September 11, 1929. Agreement between MGM and von Stroheim regarding an upcoming film. In part: “This is to confirm our understanding that we shall have the right to use your name only in connection with a photoplay based substantially upon the story to be written by you for us under said agreement.” Signed at the conclusion by Thalberg as MGM vice president and von Stroheim. A mild shade of toning, two punch holes to top edge, some light soiling, and a few creases, otherwise fine condition. The film in question was quite possibly Queen Kelly, written and directed by von Stroheim.
