14 1/2" X 10" X 8" with false lock escutcheon and original hand painted floral scroll design to front and sides. Chest shows very good original condition, left and right twisted iron handles and padlock hasps intact. Inner hinged lid with complex mechanical locking system accessed with key through the top (missing key). Interior complete with top rod, lock plate covers scroll engraved with heart in center, crossed swords and dated 1735 over initials P.R. An absolute work of art with over 230 individual rivets, iron chest weighs 31 1/2'.
