Lot 64 Aleksandr Poleshchuk
Rare flown Russian Soyuz Forel Immersion suit taken by Poleshchuk on TM-16 to the Mir space station. The suit is intended to be used in the case of a water landing, designed to keep its wearer dry and provide positive buoyancy. The suit has topping-up valves for floatation means and the waterproof garment also has, a locator electric light, and loops to lift up a survivor from the water surface. Signed inside the zipper in black felt tip in English and Russian by Poleshchuk, adding “Soyz TM-16, Mir 13.” In fine condition. A very critical, and fortunately unnecessary, piece of flown equipment.
