Royal Crown was born from the efforts of Claud Adkin Hatcher, a turn-of-the-century pharmacist residing in Columbus, Ohio. IN 1905, father and son made their commitment to the soft drink market official by reorganizing Hatcher Grocery Co. as Union Bottling Works and concentrating wholly on producing Royal Crown Ginger Ale. In 1907 he introduced his own cherry-flavored cola creation, dubbed Chero-Cola. In 1924 the companies name was changed to "Nehi". In 1959, Nehi, Inc. became Royal Crown Cola Company. In 1978 the name was changed to Royal Crown companies. Famous for "Diet Rite Cola". Federated BNC and SC-USBNC. XF.
