NY. 1970-1980. Specimen. Archie Enterprises, Inc. 2 different stock certificates, one for < than 100 shs and the other for 100 shs. Both have vignettes of Archie and the gang. In the early 1970s Archie Enterprises, inc. went public to raise funds to develop Archie Family Restaurants. The goal was to build pilot restaurants and then sell franchises. This was during the franchise boon of the 70's. 10 years later, Michael Silberkleit, the son of Archie Comics founder Louis Silberkleit and Richard Goldwater took Archie Comic Publications back into private ownership.
