American writer. She was appointed Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress in 1985. ALS, one page, 5 x 3.5, September 16, 1991. Short letter reads, in full: “It is a pleasure to assist ‘The Camp for the Blind.’ All of you are to be saluted.” In fine condition, with a trimmed top edge.
