Lot 881 Glenn Miller

Popular big band leader (1904–1944). In 1942, Miller joined the US Air Force and organized the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band to entertain the troops. In December 1944, on a flight from England to Paris, the plane Miller was traveling in disappeared over the English Channel and was never found. Vintage matte-finish 7 x 5 photo of Miller and his orchestra on stage, signed in fountain pen. In fine condition, with a couple of light creases and a small tear to bottom edge.
