Stuntman and actor (1900–1960) who doubled as the Frankenstein Monster in many of the key Frankenstein films. Parker also appeared in many other classic non-Frankenstein Universal horror films, including The Mole People, Tarantula, and Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy, as well as Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. DS, signed “Ed. Parker,” one page, 8.25 x 6, December 10, 1949. Samuel Goldwyn Productions, Inc., Day Player Agreement for Parker to play the role of “Detective” in the film entitled “Edge of Doom,” at a daily rate of $75 and a weekly rate of $400. Signed at the bottom by Parker as well as the casting director. In fine condition, with punch holes to left edge, small tear to top, and several ink and pencil notations. Parker's signature is extremely rare and highly sought after by horror collectors.
