^Lot 256 Roy Rogers’ Personal Longhorn Trophy Buckle

Impressive and historic 2 3/4 “ x 3 3/4” sterling and heavy gauge gold Trophy Buckle with longhorn and rubies. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RODEO engraved across the top and engraved ROY ROGERS on gold strip along the bottom. Presented to Roy at the Madison Square Garden World Championship Rodeo in 1944. Unmarked but undoubtedly custom made for Roy by John McCabe of Hollywood. Engraved with Roy’s name by the famed Texan, Amon Carter.
