Territory of Wyoming Bench Warrant, July 3rd, 1885 signed “F.W. Canton Sheriff
Bail Fixed at $500 – No. 83 – The People of the Territory of Wyoming vs James Convery (?). Johnson County, Wyoming.” Territory documents are few and far between, and this one is signed by one of the most celebrated lawmen of the west. Warrant for “Branding horse with his own with intent to defraud” (i.e., a horse thief!). 6 3/4” x 8 1/2” open. Ink turning green, some edge damage.
