Cut-out shield badge mounted in shadow box with United States District Court Appointment to the post of Deputy Marshal of the United States for the Western District of Arkansas. July 20, 1896 at Fort Smith. Also framed is a 2 page complaint (warrant) against Albert Snell signed by Preston. 15 1/5” x 32”. Preston served for Judge Isaac Parker. The items are not known to have come together but the badge is of the same period.
