The writing on various portions of the note reads. “Received from J.A. Perry. 11:30 pm. Wed. June 14/23”. “C.J.Caut (sp). Const. A.P. Police”. Believed to be the Alberta Provincial Police, which existed from the early 1920’s to the early 1930’s. Was the note tendered as evidence in a robbery? Posted as Bail at a late night hearing? In any case, a scarce note, with an interesting story.
