Each token is distinctively designed and crafted to illustrate the 23 sports represented at the 1984 Olympic Games. The 24th token represents the universal spirit of the 1984 Olympic Games held in the City of Los Angeles. The reverse side of each coin bears the official symbols of the XXIIIrd Olympiad. The set was designed by the noted numismatic artist, N. Neil Harris.
