^Lot 45GB Spirit of Ecstasy - 24K Gold Layered Limited Edition Sculpture

This Charles Robinson Sykes sculpture, "Spirit of Ecstasy", was originally designed by Sykes to be the mascot for the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. Sykes modeled the piece after the woman he loved who was also engaged in a secret love affair with her boss, a pioneer of the auto industry. His love and her boss were aboard the S.S. Persia that was torpedoed off Crete. This is a limited edition bronze and then layered with 24K gold. Comes with foundry assay. Some variations in marble might occur.
